Hi folks I have started running a Strength & Conditioning Class for Triathletes and wanted to let Belpark members know in case anyone wanted to do a strength session now that the season is over. The focus of the classes is on mobility and flexibility as well as on strength - things that will improve your swim, bike and run! As a Physical Therapist this is something I strongly feel benefits not only performance but is also vital for injury prevention. During the class we work on strength (with each movement scaled to suit the individual), flexibility, mobility and then finish with conditioning at the end of the hour. Don't worry if you have never done strength training before - all levels are catered for! A few Belparkers have joined the class already so you would recognise some faces! Classes take place each Wednesday evening at 7.30pm in Origin Fitness, Sandyford. Cost is €50 for a block of 5 or €15 for pay as you go.
