Ho Ho Ho!!! Everybody the deadline is looming for the Club Awards Survey so if you haven't submitted yours yet, please get cracking! The more we get back the better. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSffZVrBfDp3yZdbEuc0FlsOZJI192jd5ZtsBV8h1pUn5tMYqA/viewform Also, you will have seen on Tranisition Talk that 15 more spaces have been made available for the Christmas party. Due to the demand these 15 spaces will make up one big table downstairs in the venue (http://anticavenezia.ie/). After dinner everyone will move upstairs for the awards and speeches. Once that's wrapped up we will convene to a local watering hole in Ranelagh to see the night out (Watering Hole still to be confirmed). I've heard on the grape vine that there are quite a few people who wish to meet up for drinks only after the meal. To gauge indicative numbers could you please reply to this thread with **DRINKS ONLY** please. Thank All Finbarr

Visited the restaurant last night and spoke with the owner.
No problem you or anyone else joining us after the meal for the awards.
Cheers

Evening Everyone,
I called into the venue (Antica Venezia)yesterday and everything is on track to be a cracking night.
Just in case the idea of sitting downstairs is putting you off booking, regardless of the final numbers there will be a table of at least 10 downstairs for the meal.
Then afterwards everyone will move upstairs and we'll do the awards bit.
The staff will remove some of the tables to give us a bit more room too. There is a bar upstairs, so if we want to hang around a bit longer we can. The room is ours for the night! We also have the option of moving on to another watering hole. My suggestion is Birchalls (if we leave the restaurant earlyish) and/or McSorely's if we decide Birchalls is too tame for our crowd.
Currently 43 atttending and 12 spots still available
Cheers Everyone

OK - final call for buying your Christmas party tickets. www.belparktri.ie/booking-belpark-xmas-party/ We have to sort numbers out with the restaurant very soon, so Sunday 26th will be your last opportunity to buy a ticket. There are a few spots left so move fast.
Also, the 2nd round of the survey 'The Shortlist' has been sent to all members. Please vote, it'll take you no more than 2 minutes to complete it. Deadline for this is the 26th November as well.
Thanks everyone.

Checked with the boss last night. She already booked the night out - so unless someone wants to babysit for me I’m gonna have to miss this one

I'm not sure if I missed the deadline, but I would be interested in a space at the party if there was still one available. Fergus

Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone is now in the festive swing of things and looking forward to the Belpark Christmas Party Extravaganza. This is just a bit of last minute housekeeping before the big night.
The Dinner Venue: Antica Venezia, Ranelagh. Time: 7-7.30pm Attire: ‘Festive Cheer’. Interpret that any way you want but I would encourage Christmas jumpers, santa hats, elf shoes, various props (reindeer, snowmen, Mrs Claus……… or Mr Claus for that matter, candy canes, Will Ferrel (Elf)). Whatever you want! Rory please make sure that all attire is still structurally sound or has at least been repaired to acceptable standards!
The Awards (Open to all – we’ll squeeze you in somehow) Venue: Antica Venezia, Ranelagh (upstairs) Time: 9.45pm Attire: see above
Housekeeping The ticket covers your meal - starter, main, teas and coffees.
Dessert - not included but if you would like one on the night you can order from the menu. However, this will be dependent on what they have available in the kitchen. I have asked them to be prepared for some orders so they will have some in stock at least. Please ensure that you cover the cost yourselves.
Drinks – similarly drinks are not included in the ticket price. As you know the drinks bill can become contentious with any big group for dinner. Therefore, one suggestion, is that we keep a non-alcoholic drinks bill and an alcoholic drinks bill and divide each evenly amongst the ‘non-drinkers’ and ‘drinkers’ on the night. I know this isn’t a magic bullet.
If anyone has a better solution please speak up on the night or on the forum.
To be clear, I will not be playing referee in any disputes – it’s not in the job description!!!
Once the bills are cleared the bar (upstairs) will be open for service.
The After-Venue When we decide to move on from the restaurant tomorrow night we will be aiming for Birchalls or McSorely’s, and most likely both!! They’re right beside each other so if you want a 'Quieter' drink Birchall’s is the spot. If you want a ‘Louder’ drink McSorely’s is the spot. And if you want to move from Quiet to Loud…….you get my logic!!!
Looking forward to seeing you all in your finest ‘Festive Cheer’.
Finbarr
