Would have liked to see a couple of women-only waves. I hate being swum over by those 15-stoners!

Spread the word please! ....for those who fancy it we are going for dinner following the race on Sunday evening for some post race chat and relaxation. The venue is Bellagio Italian restaurant, 92 Terenure Road North, Dublin 6W (see map here www.bellagiorestaurant.ie/contact). They are offering a 2 course menu for €19.95 or a 3 course menu for €24.95. It's booked for 7.30 on Sunday night, please post here or on Facebook if you would like to attend so that i can confirm numbers with the restaurant. If anyone fancies a drink beforehand there will be a few people in the Terenure Inn which is next door to Bellagio from 7pm onwards. Cheers, Katherine.

I'd like to go with 'not intentional', but... I'll be racing in neutral colours at least!

Am I the only person who's worried about that to wear when it's probably only going to be 13 degrees? The long term forecast is at least showing dry now for early part of the day. I hate to waste time putting on something in T1, (particularly involving a zip and cold hands) but I'm thinking it'll be a bit chilly on the bike for a sleeveless tri-top. Any thoughts?

Hi Helen, if I have recovered and can actually do Carlow than I defiantly will have at least a spare t-shirt and a rain jacket or wind breaker in T1, I rather spend the time to put something over in T1 and don't start to shiver on the bike. For anything with zips, if the gear is not too tight you could pre zip it and than just pull it over like a shirt and close the zipper than fully

I'm definitely planning on adding a layer or two at T1. Probably a long sleeved top. Unfortunately adding layers on the legs is probably not an option, but I'm open to suggestions!

Just to warn you to make sure whatever you decide to wear goes on easily over damp skin!! I know someone who spent a good few minutes trying to wrestle a top on to the amusement of onlooking officials!!

Still haven't figured it out Eilish. I will have to test various items after getting out of the shower in the morning.
