Interesting read and gives a small insight into some the type of issues that our race committee has also very successfully dealt with too over past few months. And we have transitions & bike routes to add to the complications!!
Crusaders AC were very fortunate in getting €15,000 in sponsorship before race even started. We are very grateful to Bagnall,Macmahon Doyle for sponsoring race 1, but we still are looking for a title sponsor for race 3, and also potentially someone to build a long lasting sponsorship relationship for future years. Email belparkevents@gmail.com if anyone has any leads.
I do think that one of the additional benefits of running a race/series which article doesnt specifically address is that it raises the profile of the club in a positive way within the triathlon/sporting world!

Another interesting quote from the organisers of TriCarlow, showing the HUGE volunteer effort to make a NS race happen - over 100 marshals from a club of 50!! "We had 112 signed in marshals on the day plus kayakers, plus we had others helping out with set up on the Saturday who couldn't help out on Sunday. For a club with less than 50 paid up members that's a big ask. That's what makes this race run so smoothly, without these volunteers we can't make this race happen so big thanks to them. That's 3 successful years I think it's safe to say as an NS race. Wounder if TI will give us NS for next year" www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057698816&page=3
