Belpark put up a mighty performance in Dunmore East 3 weeks ago but alas Piranha proved stronger and took the title of Face Off Champions for 2015. Despite the fact that Belpark have had to concede victory we are going to join with them for a night out in the spirit of good sportsmanship!
We are also celebrating a successful duathlon series, a lot of hard work went into the smooth running of all 3 races and that should be acknowledged.
Details below, please sign up to the event on facebook or reply to this post so that we have an idea of numbers.
Date: Saturday 18th July
Time: 7.30pm
Venue: House, Leeson Street, Dublin 2 (http://housedublin.ie/)

FaceOffResultsSummary.pdf (35.47 KB)Synopsis attached! Belpark scored 14.5 and Piranha scored 19.5 My comments! 1. To quote Eamonn Tilley - every second counts! If we had been on average just 1 sec quicker in each transition we would have got the 3 points for that category and beaten Piranha overall. 2. Piranha may have the bragging rights over us, but Belpark women definitely have bragging rights over the Belpark men. The women won 12/13 of the female specific points! 3. We had 6 men in top 30, Piranha had 1. We had 4 women in to 20. They had none. And we had huge numbers racing in Dunmore. Far more than Piranha Lots of positives to take from results! 4. Piranha accepted that Ben Malone was a belpark member and included him in the analysis!!!

Like the analysis Ellen. What point 3 tells me is that we need to change the method of calculation!
