Blacksod Point Challenge - Sat 19th Sept

Hi All,

I’ve just signed up for Blacksod – it was one of my first Olympics last year and I really enjoyed it.
A great one for some last minute National Series points!

I missed out on the afters last year as I left straight after the race but they put on a full meal and a good night out
According to their website there’s more of the same planned for this year:

        Free post-race sit down meal and dessert!!
        Free shower, Jacuzzi and sauna facilities to use post-race

Is anyone else in??
I can look in to accommodation if there’s a few interested…..

Id say ill sign up as well, will be ok for accommodation though, have family living down there, along the bike route actually. It's meant to be a great race and a good afters as Dee said.

I'm tempted to do this one too Deirdre and would stay on. The free sit down meal after the Swinford race last Sunday was great!

Eoin and I have done it a couple times. Highly recommend it. Will see how I'm fixed holiday wise but may enter it nearer the time.

If there's one thing Belmullet people do better than the rest it's feed you, it would be an insult to them if you left the place hungry!

Dave's report sells it a lot better than video of the bike route on their website! If I can get to September relatively unscathed and injury free will do it.. Will sort myself out for accommodation as not definite.

Yep. Savage race. Massive craic after in the town. I may be away in September, so probably won't make it.
