Hi, I'm looking to get a watch and looking for some advice/recommendations! It looks like the garmin 910/920xt is top of the range but pretty pricey... Does anyone have any recommendations for anything cheaper than that one or what would be next in line? Preferably looking for something that will cover swim, bike and run! Thanks for your help, Sarah

I looked long and hard at the start of the year and went for the 910 in the end. Definitely shop around though.

Go the 910. I use a 310 and a Garmin swim. 310 won't give you swim metrics in the pool and its very chunky. Should be able to get a reasonably priced 910 online

I also have the 310 and find even in the open water it is less reliable at measuring distance than the 910. So if swim distance is important (and I think all watches have issues with this) then the 910/920 is the one for you.

I have a Tomtom multisport, I love it so far! Keep an eye on www.sportpursuit.com/ they have amazing sales! I got my Tomtom 40% off (142€, with HRM and bike mount). They had a Garmin 610 last week: new sales every week. They can take time to deliver, but if you are in no hurry, it might be worth to have a look. www.wiggle.co.uk/ is another place to look for discounted gear, but electronics tend not to get as much of a discount as the rest. Runner's Need currently have a sale (10-20% off) on electronics. Their exchange rate is fixed (1.26) so you can work out the price in Euros Hope this helps!

I second eglobal Central. Much much cheaper than anywhere else. Thanks, Fiona B for the tip off
