We have had some great times and memories over the last few years in Dunmore East and have been very well hosted by the Murphy family. Unfortunately, 'Hook or by Crook' will not be a National Series race next season. However with this sad news we now have a new opportunity to select a new race where the first Belpark man and woman home will be crowned 'Club Champions'
This weekend away is a key social event for the club, so we are asking our members to choose which of the options in the survey question below you would like to see as our club race for 2016.
When narrowing the choices we considered the time of the season, selection of accommodation and only Sprint races so to have the widest appeal, we now welcome your feedback as to where you would like it to be.
Please answer this ONE question in the attached link!

I selected Loughrea on the basis that Wesport & King of the Hill dates would require Cat 1 athletes to race 3 weeks in a row to complete series plus do club champs race while the I -Tri Ennis date clashes with Sligo Cat 1 race. I know the Cat 1 calendar a pain and only effects a handful of club members but because there are only 6 races in superseries you are more restricted than those targeting NS. Anyway which every race is selected I will do my best to be on start line to try defend the club trophy (except if its Ennis!)

We have had 64 responses so far King of the Hill now marginally in the lead on 22, followed by Loughrea on 21 and then Westport on 19. Ennis on 2! Keep casting your votes folks! Helen

Phew, seems like ennis out of running then. All very close for other three & 3 great races. Is it like proportional representation voting or simple first across the line.. ?

Ellen, the other factor that will influence our decision is whether we can 'block book' Belpark spaces as some of these races e.g. KOTH sell out very quickly. We will contact the race organisers of the top races when results are in. Current standings are
KOTH=25 Loughrea=23 Westport (with the early lead) now at 19 Ennis- looks like it is out of the running on 3.
Voting will close on Tuesday night! so if you haven't voted yet, please do so!

It's race week in Galway and into weekend as it's a bank holiday. It may be difficult to get accommodation as both nearby towns and city gets booked up. I am not saying this to swing votes it's a fact!
