for those who are interested, seems that after all the half Ironman Dublin will go ahead after all, rumor has it that the registration will open at the end of January

A tri magazine I brought from Germany about one month ago mentioned 14th... Anyway, the info about Dublin is too late for me. I'm signed up for my 70.3 in September.

No just snooping in certain forums, where people who are actually involved in this give out informations and I'm certainly not talking about Boards ( hint the forum of the Tri club in which the Race director is in )

For those who couldnt unrsvel brittas mysterious clue...
(Quote)Just to let everyone know, IRONMAN UK LTD and dispensed with my services for the 2016 race and I will not be involved in any official way. The Uk office have taken on a new race in Weymouth and also full time Race Directors and due to budget restrictions they feel they cannot afford a local Race Director. I am extremely disappointed with this decision but I wish them all the best for the 2016 race. They are fully behind putting on the 2016 race and assuming a couple of adjustments are signed off by OPW & DCC I would expect to see it open by the end of January. If I get any further updates I will let Piranha members know(/quote)

Really? High tide is 3am and low is at 9am. Last year the swim was at high tide to avoid the shallows in Dun Laoighaire. Tides the weekend after seem more suitable and that's the date I'd heard bandied about previously.

From what I'm hearing, the issue delaying the confirmation of the event is Dublin City Council, and the use of the Phoenix Park for T2?
