Yeah, ditto on the thanks Ben - you're obviously very knowledgeable and experienced with the sea.
Pretty sure I had nightmares of jellyfish last night! I'll definitely need to make it to at least one of the club OW swims this summer!

Any discuss or insight into water temperature? This is a serious question, as my BP medication affects circulation and I get hypothermia more easily...

Hi Sharon, live water temperature updates for Dublin bay are available on Twitter with Dublin Bay Buoy. The talk didn't touch anything medical, I don't really have any expertise there.

Since the water doesn't really seem to warm up my plan is actually just to get into the wetsuit and walk down the ramp in Seapoint, if I can than dip my head under the water would be happy but not expecting it to happen, don't think a real swim will happen, planing to do this over the weekend, will let you know how painful it is ( by the way Sharon Irishfit has at the moment some "swim" parka on sale, got mine for 40 euro from them, that should warm me up after getting out of the Water

Ben, could you share some info what was talked about yesterday as I could not make it to the talk? Maybe here or in the members section on the website...

Britta would you not consider getting something along the lines of a neoprene swim vest to wear under wetsuit? Keep the core warmer when water is 'fresh'
