Dear Belparkers,
The Dublin city triathlon is taking place this year on Sunday the 28th of August. We usually have a high number of participants and like last year we will have a Belpark village after the race. Intention is to have our own little tent and if people could bring along any goodies or baked goods it would be much appreciated. Surely we'll have to have better weather than last year.
For those of us out on other training spoons or supporting etc try to pop along and help create the atmosphere. I'm getting quotes for champagne, dancing girls and chippendales for the ladies!!! Me suspects the treasurer may not sanction it though but as your social officer I try to represent you as best I can.
More details to follow.

Since I don't live too far away from PP, I thought I would pay forward all the great support we got for the 70.3 and cheer on the Belpark crew doing DCT. Is there an approximate time to be there for the first finishers?! I can bring some healthy snacks for those taking part in the race.

I'll aim for 10am. The Belparkers racing should get out of the water shortly after and then the first Cat1 should be coming in at a bit after 10.30am.
Naomi, I'll cycle to Phoenix Park/Garda Boat House via Harold's Cross and along the canal. If you like, we can meet and cycle over together.

I'll PM you my mobile so we can coordinate.

All, I'm struggling to get a babysitter in order to make tomorrow. Helen has the flags and banners. Is anyone not racing and available to put them up close to the finish line.

Can anything of that be transported on the bike? Could pick something up on the way to DCT.

Helen has them and said she can bring in her car but it might be a bit late now as I'm sure she is getting well rested.

Just wondering did anyone have a GPS on for the swim sprint distanct today ? It felt a lot longer then 750m and overheard a rumour of 1000m but don't believe that one ....

I didn't press start on my garmin until the first buoy (I know, Muppet!).....and I made it 692m from there to finish. It must have been at least 200m to first buoy, so 900m may not be that far off....

For the olympic it was definitely a very long last km on the run.
I'm taking credit for making the brownies, luckily there were loads left so I'm still eating them now. And those oranges were a great idea thanks!
