Just a note to remind everyone that you must cancel your swim slot if you’re not going to make it. This should be done before 9pm the night before to free up the space for another club member to book.
This can be done on our website: Member Zone -> CHECK MY CURRENT BOOKINGS
As I’m sure you are aware there is high demand for swim slots at the moment. Often the spaces appear to be booked out online but the lanes are not full for the sessions themselves….
Swim slots can be cancelled at any stage up to 9pm the night before and as always the single ‘pay as you go’ bookings will only be released for sale 3 days prior to each swim session and continue to be on sale up to the start of the event. This is strictly first come, first serve.
If you have any questions on this please post below.
Thanks, Deirdre

As an added incentive - if you cancel a pre paid swim slot that you can't attend, you can use the credit for another session (e.g. if you are booked into Fri swim in UCD and cancel a session, you will have a credit that you could use to book a PAYG slot on Mon or Wed at UCD). If you don't cancel your slot you will not receive a credit. Credits must be used at the same pool and within the same block.
Please ask if there are any questions.
Thanks
Andrew

Does the Terenure swim also have this "credit for another session" if cancelled?

Does the Terenure swim also have this "credit for another session" if cancelled? Hi Philip, unfortunately not. There is not a second swim in Terenure that you could claim the credit. They are priced differently too. F

All, We require all people to sign in when swimming, even if you are a UCD member and scan in. We are checking the sign in list to ensure people are attending their session. Also note that in addition to cancelling swims it is necessary to book places too. Regards Frank

Just bumping this thread up. Some of the UCD sessions last week were not full even though they were full online (so no availability for someone to take a PAYG slot). Also, if you have not booked a slot online you cannot just show up on the day. You must book online to secure a slot. Please note committee members are monitoring this closely to ensure that members who wish to avail of UCD swim slots can do so.

I doubt there is an easy solution to this....but.... some times I surrender my session after a non existent or badly interrupted sleep at 3am ish in the morning. Is there any way of enabling slots to be cancelled up to 5am or how so ever late as possible so that those in line can still slip in? I have been on both sides of the track here - desperately chasing a slot - and reluctantly surrendering any hope of getting up on time. ( I managed to pick up a slot today for tomorrows 6am swim ) I see the obvious logic in the 9pm cut off on the eve of a swim. However, if post 9pm cancellations could still be carried out - but with reduced or zero credits. And the club can still resell the slot at full value? And you have 1 more happy swimmer. And yes, I know the liklihood of someone going through a cancellation process at 3am is unlikely - but it's possible. My experience in the last few swims however has not been empty slots. Its been 15 or more per lane - which is another days work : )
