if you are looking for a trainings plan for half Ironman this might be for you , our Coach ( Tanja Slater) from the Warm Weather Camp has written a Trainings plan for the half iron Distance and the really good news it is for FREE. To get to the Plan you have to register on a rather ugly Website : www.activetrainingworld.com/But after that you can get directly to the plan, I also had a look at their Swimming drill section have the very strong feeling those came from her as well and after I have done those drills for a week I know that they are very good for my swimming

So you have to go to 2 separate transitions and a race briefing? Sounds like you could be longer registering than you will be doing the actual race!

Without doubt Rob will be longer in the IM Expo than registration and race combined

But if I don't buy ALL the IM branded gear how will people know I did it?

Also remember you need to buy all the shirts, hoodies etc because your name is on it, OK with with all other 2500 competitors and you need to read it with a magnifying class to find your name, but you always will wear your proof that you did it.

Food station and what type of stuff they will have on the course is also up on the site, make sure to try the gels and bars upfront so that you know that you can tolerate the stuff on race day

Need a tip, will do the race with my TT bike, I have a big problem with water bottles on the bike, I have the small Aero bottle at the handle bars, which is fine and I can fit one more bottle on the frame, Problem is I hate having a normal sized bottle down there so had thought of a Aero bottle, but now my brain kicked in for the race they will hand us the normal 750ml bottles, has anyone experience with the cages behind the saddle, is that easy enough to reach?

Britta I have the profile design rear mount cages and I love them. I have to be honest and say it took some time to get used to re-racking the bottles without seeing but now its second nature. You have two months before the race so I think you could practice and make it work.
