Hi all - Belpark Tri Club is hosting the Blessington Triathlon on Sunday 1st July. This update is for all members - your help is still required to volunteer on Saturday 30th or Sunday 1st, as we need 80 volunteers to make this a success. 1. Entries – now at 317, so expecting to reach target of 400. 27 clubs represented, with 25% of people doing their first race. 2. Marshals – we need about 80, so a lot more than duathlon’s as road for bike & run totals over 25km of road space, with multiple corners and points of caution. Currently we are short at least 10 marshals – currently only 30 Belpark members have volunteered, which is about 15% of our membership, so we'd encourage the remaining 250+ to contact us at info@blessingtontri.ie if you can help out, even if it's for a few hours. Without marshals, the race could be cancelled or safety could be impacted. 3. Registration – we’ll do early registration in B2R on the Saturday afternoon, which eases pressure on Sunday morning. 4. Bike course – new route confirmed, since N81 has roadworks and traffic lights. It’s 19km and should be nice, although a few sharp turns. Maps updated on website: belparktri.ie/Blessington/race-info/ Any suggestions or feedback, please let us know. It should be a really successful day for the club. David

Hi all, I just want to wish David Power, his race committee and all volunteers and marshals the very best of luck for the inaugural Blessington triathlon, jointly run by Belpark TC and Blessington Sailing Club. Sorry I cannot be there to be involved but will be watching social media for updates from across the pond.
