Noob question; what is a bike spin?

New member browsing the site... what is a bike spin?

Is it just a long ride?

Or is it a ride with technique guidance?

Or something else?

It’s a group cycle.
Most of our weekend group spins (cycles) are meant to be done easy zone 1 or 2 (conversational pace). Over a number of weeks we will build the distance. When going for your first group cycle you are best going with a slower group then one you are hanging on the back. That way you will enjoy it and you also won’t slow down the group.

Thanks, this weekend is pre-booked (offspring & karate), but will try to get to a session soon. (Preferably wearing an extra layer or two - I went out for a sprint today and came back colder than before exercising!)

Actually, looks like only Saturday booked!
If I can make it, do I need to book anywhere and where do I need to get to by when?

In the memberzone area of the website there is the event register- book in with the appropriate group there.
We meet at 8:55am opposite AIB Rathfarnham Village and leave at 9am.
