They didn't say Hana. I said an hour I think and they didn't ban me.

my plan for the swim is to jump into the river and get carried down by the current , looking at the briefing I think they reckon that everyone should be done after a hour and a bit, will disappoint them. I will be slower with my current fitness state, that if I can actually start in the first place, sinuses at the moment say still no

just checked results from last year , slowest swimmer was done in 48 Minutes , so either they had only amazing swimmers or the current actually helps

Hana, I'd be amazed if there is a cut off time (within reason). With the current, I reckon it's more like a bit over 2k of swimming effort - obviously no bother to you (especially if you throw in some double back stroke....). G'wan you know you want to!

So my car load now is: Sinead (Navigator as she knows Drogheda...) - Will pick up at BMW dealer in Blackrock Gunda - Will pick up at Carrickmines DART station Eilish - Can pick up but if someone else driving is nearer Kilmainham might be better? I'm easy. Britta - maybe, will confirm on Fri. Britta, maybe you can drive up from Bray and park at my house not far from the N11 in Cabinteely?
Haven't decided departure time yet. Was planning 1030 but wonder if that might be cutting it a bit fine with festival in Drogheda.

i am noting the distances between the bridges so as to have some clue how much is left. Bridge 1: 800m Bridge 2: 1000m Bridge 3: 1240m Bridge 4: 1440m Bridge 5: 2300m
Massive gap there between 4 and 5 where I'm really going to be fading. And still 400m to go!
