I recommend the long dock (if its still open) on the road out to loop head. About a 10-15 min drive but the food is excellent.

It's about 9k southwest of Kilkee. Did someone say they were staying in Quilty? If so, it might not be that handy as it's the opposite direction. So let me know if it's too much hassle and then I'll find something in Kilkee. They don't take reservations but she said if we can make it there by 7 we shouldn't have a problem. I don't know how realistic that is for people.

We're in Quily Helen (thanks for thinking of us) but we are not sure what we are doing yet. Pretty sure we'll be down early so would be nice to hook up but I'm probably looking for something carb based for Friday evening...Pasta or rice. Don't think the Long Dock fits the bill on that front (didn't see a menu online) somight opt out given the distance and the type of food. thanks though!

Been looking for pasta myself Andrew. I don't see an Italian in Kilkee! Still having a look.

For those extra 'spurts' of speed up the climbs?

I was more thinking of the poor people behind us in the water.

I probably wouldn't be mad keen in Indian to be honest. No Must check the menu in the Strand. think they had some basic fare.

Our b&b is providing us with a full English... Seems to be some odd fare down that side the world!

Twice I've rung the strand and they haven't got back. Hope they still have that room for me!

The Strand does have a linguini and red pesto dish on the menu. 8 large portions of linguini and 8 glasses of water please...
