DCT is host to more than 900 Age-Group athletes from 70 clubs around the country. Belpark has a staggering 55 members participating. Additionally DCT hosts the inaugural "draft legal" Category 1 standard distance National Championships. The 5-lap bike course promises to be a great spectacle, and the split transitions will result in T2 being adjacent to the finishing line for all to view. A true festival of triathlon.
To add to the festival atmosphere, Piranha Tri Club is inviting fellow clubs to create a base for their members by either erecting a gazebo, placing tear-drops / flags or even putting out some picnic blankets on the ground in the tented village. The following sponsors will also have a presence in the tented village: Vita Coco, Erdinger, Avonmore Protein Milk & Granola Bars, Nature Valley, Maxi Nutrition, Vodafone Ice Cream, Body Right Physios, Red Bull.
Similar to the Belparkers' supporters area for IM 70.3, we will have a tent in this tented village, where supporters and competitors can congregate during and after the race. Olympic distance waves start at 8.15am, Super sprint at 9.15 with the Cat 1 races kicking off at 11. 45.
If any Belparker feels the urge to bake or supply food it will be gratefully accepted, however there is no pressure to do this.
Looking forward to seeing lots of supporters there and best of luck to all competitors. You can email either of us at belparksocial@gmail.com or belparksecretary@gmail.com if you plan to be there or can help out in any way.

Hi Britta-that sounds great if it suits? Myself and Katherine will be there from 7am if that's any help. Are you marshalling at it? Hope you can make it back to Supporter area at the end of the race!

Will be expecting a standard that Paul Hollywood would be proud of Conal! I wouldn't get my hopes up too much on that front, Helen. Still don't really know how to make pastry. There are a lot better bakers than me in Belpark, I've eaten the proof!
