I go to Peter Matthews for Sports Massage - would highly recommend. Ideally I would say you should get massage once a month if training hard, or especially 4 or 5 days out from an A race to loosen the body out. He really gets all the knots - though it can be painful enough when you are on the massage table! Peter is a former international runner and multiple Irish xcountry champion and is also always willing to share advice & stories, which helps lessen the pain! He is based in Ballinteer and does evening appointments most weekdays. www.massageireland.org/therapists/peter-mathews

Richard Mahony, Bodyfix Solutions 0862621208 richard_hwc@yahoo.co.uk Based very close to St Mary's rugby club in Orwell. Everyone I have sent to him have come away satisfied. Like Ellen I would recommend a regular massage. He is an advanced remedial therapist working with a athletes from a broad range of sports as well as people with occupational injuries, he has got me to plenty of start lines in the past!!!
