Hi all,
So where just under 8 weeks to race day from Dublin Half Iron man!
As its my first ever half distance, I hope to call on people that have completed the race and find inspiration from people taking part!
It would be great/beneficial to organise a recky of the course in the next 4 weeks and potentially a quick session at the club house ( if this is possible) some evening/weekend to go over best practice for half distance.
Please let me know if you are interested in above and or taking part in Dublin 70.3.
Thanks,
Keith

Hey Keith,
Great idea to try and coordinate folks taking part in this year's Dublin 70.3, and I agree that it would be fab if others who took part last year could share some feedback about the race, their experience, etc...
You're welcome to do some training sessions with me, if you want. I'm using an Endurance Nation training plan, which I used the last time I did a 70.3. It's heavy on cycling over the weekends (pretty much every weekend is 3hrs on Saturday. A run & 2hrs cycling on Sunday). I generally do my long run on Thursdays.
I have some big sessions coming up and would love some company for the following: Sat, 25th June: 30min run followed by a 4hr spin; Sun, 26th June: 30min run and 3 hours on the bike Friday, 1st July (I have the day off from work), I have my first Race Rehearsal (RR) which will consist of 1hr swim, 3hr ride, 1hr run. Very good opportunity to test race-day nutrition, gear, etc.
Open invite for anyone else doing Dublin or other members interested in joining-in.
Cheers, Nao

I would definitely be interested in doing a recky and also hearing from the more experienced members. Some group training sessions would also be pretty cool
8 weeks will fly in

Guys, I might be free on Saturday 18th and could bring you out if you want. I would propose we meet at the Papal Cross in Phoenix Park, bring your bike (&locks) and run gear. We can leave run gear in my car while we cycle the last 70km of the route (the 2016 route has not been finalised but I will bring you on 2015 which will be mainly the same). When we get back to our bikes we can lock them up and do 7km/14km of the run course depending what you want. I will be happy to answer any race questions and share my experiences out on the bike. We will organise a swim recce another time if there is interest. Please post below if you are interested in the session this Saturday - all welcome. Cheers Frank
