Dear members, its time to vote for where we hold our 2017 Club race. As agreed at our AGM, we have chosen a range of races (all sprint distance) but some are National Series (NS) and some are not. All are on a Saturday (except Sunday 4th June which is a bank holiday weekend). Just to note we have two races on the same date- one is NS and the other is not. YOU MAY VOTE FOR UP TO 6 OPTIONS. Poll will close on 30th Nov. Whilst popular vote is a significant factor in our decision for choice of club race, the committee also considers other factors such as accommodation options, distance to travel, the ability of the host club to facilitate us in booking us as a club into their race ( +/- reduced rate). We would also suggest you consider your choices based on other races you plan on doing next summer. Race calender is now on TI website (more non-NS races may still be added). www.triathlonireland.com/Events/Race-Calendar/Happy voting! Regards Helen

Btw, for those of you on phones or recent threads page, if you don't see the voting buttons, you need to log onto the forum on your PC to see voting options. It took me a minute to figure!

I voted for Westport again - I was really torn as I obviously love Dunmore East and the logistics would be so much simpler personally but I think on principal the club race should be NS to faciltate those targeting the National Series in 2017 & who need to get 4 races done. BTW Derry is an excellent race too- really well organsied and on closed roads. It is National Champs so would recommend it as an away trip race for anyone who might be targeting age-group medals and bonus NC points in Cat 1 races. However I dont think it would work as club race due to fact that some club members will be in the draft legal Cat 1 waves.

Thanks all for voting - poll is now closed. Westport has emerged as a the popular choice. The committee will now follow up to see if logistics regarding block entry for Belpark members and accommodation can be facilitated again this year.
