Hello Everyone Its nearly time for Sunday cycling again!! Hopefully i wont sleep it out again this week The weather looks pretty standard for January but it should be ok for most of the spin. For any new or potential members that would like to come along and try a session before joining, the bike spin is the ideal opportunity. We have 3 different groups (details below) that all head out together before eventually splitting up so you can do whatever distance you feel up to on the day. You also get a good chance to chat to other members and get a good feel for the club so please feel free to come along The Spin starts at 9am and we meet outside the Rathfarnham AC clubhouse in Rathfarnham village (click here for a picture of the clubhouse). Try get there 5mins early Novice spin will be led by myself Improver group will be led by James Wright Intermediate group will be led by David Power All details on the groups such as ability, average speed and distance can be found here on our website as well as information on what you need to bring and the types of routes we do. Special attention should be paid to our belpark bike spin rules but if you are new to group cycling, dont be put off as we will be happy to help you out on the day Please post below to let us know if you are coming along and if you have any questions or are unsure about what group you should join either send me a message here or email me on training@belparktri.ie

Very nice spin today to Blessington - 20 people out in 3 groups which was great. Route took us Tallaght - Saggart - Rathcoole - Kilteale - Blessington & home. One request: can everyone please get MUDGUARDS - they really are essential for group spins. They cost €15 and you can get easy clip on/clip off ones. Here are 5 reasons why... roadcyclinguk.com/gear/five-reasons-use-mudguards-winter.html/1. You'll stay dryer 2. Your club mates will be grateful 3. Your bike will be grateful, too 4. You'll ride more 5. You can get them on (almost) any bike

independent side note , for those who are new to the Club, if you order anything from SWIMCYCLERUN , we have a discount code with up to 10% ,if i remember correctly even a extra discount code on Turbo Stuff Jeremy not 100 % sure but I think the model I have might even work on a oval seat posts : www.swimcyclerun.com/mudguards/bbb-roadcatcher-ii-rear-mudguard.html

I got a Lifeline Narrow road clip-on mudguard from wiggle and rear one fits the propel. Front not so much but is less important for group spins

Thanks Frank, I've got almost the same model (I suppose XL means bigger) from swimcyclerun. As Mark was saying the back one might fit, need to try when I'm back in Dublin but the front one already tried and it doesn't.
Thanks guys, I appreciate all the advice.

MUDGUARDS - reminder as the winter approaches...please can everyone put mudguards on their bikes for group spins. It's a simple courtesy. See this thread for discussion and options to purchase.
