If anyone's looking for an event on the May bank holiday Monday, the charity ARC is holding a 5k fun run and 10k run in the Phoenix park at 10am. I have found this charity hugely helpful during my cancer treatment and would appreciate it if anyone (and their families) could come along to this event. The ARC provides support, counselling and holistic therapies for free for people with cancer and their families. I will be a few days after my surgery but planning on walking the 5k and definitely having coffee/cake in the park after. Here's the links to the race and the charity: arccancersupport.iewww.popupraces.ie/events/arc-5k-10k-runHopefully see some of you there, Jennifer

Thanks Jennifer, an inspiration to us all.
We are hoping to reserve a few tables at the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre for Coffee etc. afterwards. This will be a great pre-season social event for a great cause.
Keep an eye on the news section of the website for more info a bit closer to the date.

Sorry I won't be able to make it Jennifer but a very worthy cause. Great to see you being an advocate and sharing your story and experiences of cancer. I am sure many of us have a family member or friend who has received a cancer diagnosis and it is reassuring to know that there are support services out there.
