Hi, Myself and a couple of others from the "New to Tri" group are bravely planning on doing the King of the Hill in Kinsale on the 22nd July. Yes, we are aware there are hills and we are registering despite the fear!! If anyone has been before or registered for this year could they recommend the ideal area to stay in or trusted accommodation? All suggestions and tips welcome :-) It is has been a while since my Cork student days but I'm sure the White Lady is still rockin! Aileen

Kinsale is a great race, plus the weekend after is nice too. Lots of B&Bs around town, or hostel if you're a group. Think about a swim around Sandycove Island on Sunday - we had a great swim last year. I might be down there this year too. That or Cobh.

Brilliant choice of race. My favourite every year without fail and I'll be there this year again. Plenty of places to stay though it's a busy place that time of year. Outside the town is always a better bet. If you can find a house to share that's definitely the way to go.

Thanks David and Conal. All the places with online booking facilities seem to be booked up so after emailing a load of places got sorted with a very central B&B. Here's the link in case anyone needs it www.rockviewbb.com/Looking forward to getting some hill training in to get ready for Kinsale!
