Before I go ahead and book a train ticket for me and my bicyclette, and since there seems to be a good number of members signed-up for Hazelwood, is anyone interested in making a weekend of it?
Race is on the Sat morning at 9am with registration from 7-8am - so prob need to go the night before. Ellen mentioned to me that it's a gorgeous area for cycling and we could do a group spin on the Sunday. Just a thought.
I'm going to book myself a place to stay on the Friday & Saturday nights and take the train there and back. It would be lovely to have some Belpark-company for a Sunday exploratory spin of that area. I've never been!
Let me know if anyone is thinking of doing the same.
Naomi
P.S. The online registration confirmation says something about the race being at 2pm but the race website says what I've stated above. What do others have wrt start time?

All, I'm very much 50/50 about doing this race. Is there anyone out there that wants to travel down with me Saturday morning. Would need to be down there at around 9 to register by 10, so would need to leave at 6am or a little after. I've room for another bike as well. Or better again I could travel with someone who is going down that morning and has room for me and the bike. Anyway, shout out here or send me a message if anyone is interested as it could affect my decision to race or not, not keen on doing the drive by myself and back again that night.

For peeps racing on Saturday and spending that night in Sligo, there is a tentative plan to cycle in the area Sunday morning. For anyone interested in joining, find me at the race. I'm not racing but I'll be there supporting. We can discuss and organize ourselves for Sunday morning.

I'm headed straight from work this evening and staying across the border into Donegal. Half planning on heading for a surf on Sunday morning possibly in Bundoran
