Hi all,
Just wanted to throw this question out there, does anyone have recommendation for a good bank for a club ? Requirements for the account would be: Reasonable ( Low ) bank fees and charges A must is : free online Banking ( a bank just tried to explain to me that a charge of 250 Euros for Internet Banking is a bargain ) A wish, is the possibility to get a pre paid credit card associated with the Account
Any recommendations would be welcome, not sure that I can go to 10 banks and keep a straight face while they explain to me how great their value for money is

Britta try PTSB they do club accounts as far as I know with low fees. I am not sure if their internet banking can be used on club accounts though. I would be surprised if you find a bank that has online banking that gives it for free:-) so you are setting yourself a challenge!

Hi Britta, I think that Ulster Bank offer an online account with free transactions for not for profit organisations. It might be necessary to register as a sports charity first, easy to do and common for other sports organisations (GAA, Tennis etc). It may allow us to make some purchases Vat free (eg club turbos) and I think would be useful for our aquathon too (I believe charities are charged less by the harbour). For more details - www.revenue.ie/en/business/charities.html. Cheers Frank
