thought I wanted to share this , I got myself recently a Bike insurance I went with www.cyclesure.ie/ , before I got the insurance i read through the Small Print and it stated that you can get a 10% discount if you are a member of a Triathlon Club. So asked them how I can avail of this account and Cyclesure confirmed that Triathletes can use the "CyclingIreland Members quote" , they just haven't managed to update their Website yet with a Button "Triathlon Ireland member". Knocked 10% off the Insurance for my bike

hi Eddie,
i guess that makes sense for people who need a house insurance, I'm living in a rented Apartment and not much of the stuff is my own, what I liked about that insurance it covers even if I crash in a race

The cheapest insurance is a cheapo shit looking commuter. It'll look less apealing to steal compared to other bikes nearby and if it goes, well you are only out €100 or so.

Well that's an option there but I would have to look at something half ride-able since I'm going to have to start doing about 15km each way daily. But then again, I guess you're right, I could get a 2nd hand road bike for under 200 quid...
