DC rainmaker reviewed something similar before. I belive one of the main negatives to that style design was the decreased visibility the arm on the side has. What's more of an issue for us is that in Ireland that's the side the traffic is on that you are blocking out.
From a functional point of view... I can't see any reason why I'd want to be making calls, replying to emails/texts as I cycle.

Good point regarding blocking on wrong side fro Ireland.
For me main feature is navigation and video recording.

Lidl are selling glasses with built in hd video camera in the nose bridge for 70 Euro. Worth a Google. Quality looks reasonable.
