Hi, Due to other commitments I can't make the club-organised swim sessions, and just in case there are others out there in the same situation, I wanted to let you know of another option that might be of interest to some of you, especially if you have kids who are also interested in swimming. Atlantis swim club is based in the city centre (Markievicz Centre, Tara St - just behind the Irish Times building) and has sessions 5-7 am Monday to Thursday, 5-7 pm on Tuesdays, 7-9 am Saturdays and 8-10 am on Sundays. They also have a special offer of free coaching for new joiners - please see attached. One of the reasons I particularly like it is that it is one of the very very few swim clubs that allow both adults/triathletes train at the same time as kids, so both I and the kids swim at the same time. Like all swim clubs, if you have kids swimming, you will need to take part in a POD (Parent on Duty) roster - why else do you think I am posting that at 6 am! The culture of the club is also very family-friendly, and kids are encouraged to take part as competitively as they want to, and not obsessively pushed into ludicrous amounts of training times as can happen at some clubs. The best person to contact is probably Irene 087-3514505 Thanks. Paddy
