Dear Members,
This is just a quick note about race entries for the National Series target races. DCT opens tomorrow, Friday 24th Feb & Caroline Kearney is open for entries this Saturday 25th February.
We ask that all members please register their interest for Caroline Kearney on the member zone race register<http://www.belparktri.ie/race-registrations/> today in order to benefit from an arrangement kindly offered by Midland Tri to Belpark members, the details of which we hope to share with you tomorrow.
Caroline Kearney has a reputation as an excellent, well organised, race. It is the perfect location for your first standard distance race or for a PB with a lake swim, flat bike single loop bike and a fast run on country roads.
Registration for a number of the other target races are currently open or due to open shortly.
* Carlow 14th May: 1st batch of entries are sold out. 2nd batch on sale 28th February.
* Westport 17th June: This is the Club Race. Entries are available directly through the Belpark Members Zone. Accommodation discount also available. See website for details<http://www.belparktri.ie/2017/02/belpark-club-race-2016-westport/>.
* Two Provinces: On Sale 3rd March
* Dublin City Tri is open tomorrow 24th Feb
As always details of these target races can be found on the website<http://www.belparktri.ie/belpark-national-series/>.
Ironman Athletes
For those of you who are looking at longer distance racing in the coming season (or indeed future seasons) we would like to remind you that there is a specific Ironman focused talk with top age grouper Tanja Slater. Tanja is wealth of knowledge for training in general and will share her wisdom on what it takes to compete at the pointy end of the Kona field.
The talk is this Saturday at 6pm in the White Room, Union Café, Mount Merion.
