Meet at Rathfarnham Club House at 9.30am and we will cycle out to Corkagh Park as a group for a 10am start. Alternatively you can meet us at Corkagh Park at 10am. The session will consist of a group warm-up on bike course to get used to corners etc. You will then be set off at 20 second intervals to complete 15 laps. Please note the normal rules of a triathlon biking apply - no drafting, no cycling two abreast or blocking course, no dangerous overtaking on corners, and safety first so have respect for slower & faster cyclists around you.
We will have a time-keeper at session to set cyclists off and record times, but you are also responsible for counting your own laps & time- so please bring watch/bike computer with you. It would also be advisable to wear a HR monitor if you have one available as data from this time trial will be useful to compare to later tests when you are (hopefully) fitter and stronger
This session will be incorporated into our regular Sunday spins - and there will be a group doing some extra easy mileage after the TT.
Please post if you plan to come along

Any chance you can move it for like 12 or so? Taking into account it's Belpark Xmas party the night before, might be worth a shot

Corkagh Park is booked by another group (Wicklow Tri Juniors) at 12 so no possibility of moving the session. December is very busy month for everyone so 6th suited best for party & unfortunately it clashed directly with the pre-planned 5 week winter schedule!! However in a way, it is good that it has fallen on an recovery week and even if TT is hard work - it will only be for a short period of time, and it will be easier on body than a 80-100km spin in the hills!! We will put an * beside anyone who is hung-over!! If you dont feel up for a hard TT, just spin out to Corkagh park and spend an hour practicing cornering or bike-handling to take advantage of closed circuit.

I just realised that the Santa Dash which I've signed up for on Bull Island is 2pm so there is no way I'll be able to do the TT and get there in time. Sorry about that! Now if it was on Saturday...

I won't make the TT in Corkagh Park this time - my husband's away so I've one child for soccer and another for a minor camogie final...I suppose the advantage is I can relax more at the party Saturday night!

Hi there, I'm a new Belpark member (literally just joined last week). I'm planning to be there for my first outings with the Club. There will also be one other new member coming along with me too. Looking forward to it!

Hi Ciaran, I guess we have to be finished by 12 o'clock? I'm doing the short version of the Santadash later in the afternoon so maybe after all I can make it , need to think my planning through. If I come than I would arrive directly at Corkagh with car, is there any chance of getting lost ? If there is please exact instructions for me, I have no sense of direction at all
