In continuation of our support last week we will again have a support area near the finish line of Dublin City triathlon. This is a major race every year for belparkers so please come out and support if you can. Keep an eye out for the flags.
Feel free to bring any snacks or baked goods. I promise to share some with the athletes!!!
Hopefully see some of you there.

I'll be there as spectator and will take some photos/do some social media-ing. Don't expect any baked good from me though - unless airplane food counts?
Looks like Super Series race starts at 8am and the rest of the waves are from 8:50am onward. Assuming the flight lands on time, I should be able to be there sometime before 9am.
All the best to everyone racing tomorrow morning!

Anyone felt sick after Sunday's swim in the Liffey? I was wiped out from Monday night until today - couldn't eat, no energy, tummy rumbling, headache. Didn't get sick. I thought it was something I could have eaten but then someone mentioned DCT Liffey swim and said their friend also got sick. I hadn't made the connection - just wondering if it's coincidence?? Might be crossing off the 2018 list.

I had assumed it was the indian food I ate on monday evening that did the damage though. I was wiped out all day like you described. Only lasted tuesday though. Back to normal more or less by wednesday morning.

Hi Dave. Only seeing this now. No, I had no problems, and was in the water for 42 minutes.... You may have had an unlucky swallow. Hope you're fully recovered now.

I was told that this part of the Liffey is the cleanest because a few days before the race they flush out the river by one of the dams. I may have been lied to so I would do the race but he sounded very convincing it's certainly cleaner than the liffey swim.
