Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone is now in the festive swing of things and looking forward to the Belpark Christmas Party Extravaganza. This is just a bit of last minute housekeeping before the big night.
The Dinner
Venue: Antica Venezia, Ranelagh.
Time: 7-7.30pm
Attire: ‘Festive Cheer’. Interpret that any way you want but I would encourage Christmas jumpers, santa hats, elf shoes, various props (reindeer, snowmen, Mrs Claus……… or Mr Claus for that matter, candy canes, Will Ferrel (Elf)). Whatever you want!
Rory please make sure that all attire is still structurally sound or has at least been repaired to acceptable standards!
The Awards (Open to all – we’ll squeeze you in somehow)
Venue: Antica Venezia, Ranelagh (upstairs)
Time: 9.45pm
Attire: see above
Housekeeping
The ticket covers your meal - starter, main, teas and coffees.
Dessert - not included but if you would like one on the night you can order from the menu. However, this will be dependent on what they have available in the kitchen. I have asked them to be prepared for some orders so they will have some in stock at least. Please ensure that you cover the cost yourselves.
Drinks – similarly drinks are not included in the ticket price. As you know the drinks bill can become contentious with any big group for dinner. Therefore, one suggestion, is that we keep a non-alcoholic drinks bill and an alcoholic drinks bill and divide each evenly amongst the ‘non-drinkers’ and ‘drinkers’ on the night. I know this isn’t a magic bullet.
If anyone has a better solution please speak up on the night or on the forum.
To be clear, I will not be playing referee in any disputes – it’s not in the job description!!!
Once the bills are cleared the bar (upstairs) will be open for service.
The After-Venue
When we decide to move on from the restaurant tomorrow night we will be aiming for Birchalls or McSorely’s, and most likely both!! They’re right beside each other so if you want a 'Quieter' drink Birchall’s is the spot. If you want a ‘Louder’ drink McSorely’s is the spot. And if you want to move from Quiet to Loud…….you get my logic!!!
Looking forward to seeing you all in your finest ‘Festive Cheer’.
