This notice from our club captains appeared in Dec newsletter but may have been missed in the pre-Christmas hustle & bustle. In the first instance, we would like members of all abilities to complete the Club Competition Squad Survey to help us plan our club training and competition goals for 2015: www.surveymonkey.com/r/MKHQVY3

Save the Date: Club Competition Camp 21st/22nd February
Triathlon Ireland have just announced their 2015 Racing Calendar and it includes a number of new exciting Club Competitions.
1. Mixed Relay – 20 June 2015 - Team members complete consecutive super-sprint triathlons. Belpark can enter multiple teams.
2. National Series League Cup – Details to be confirmed but likely to require more than top 6 athletes, and only requires 4 races in 2015.
3. Tri Interclub Competition – 31 May 2015 – Team competition gauged over multiple distances.
Belpark has a very fine history in club competitions & we are aiming to get some silverware for ourselves in 2015. We would therefore like as many members as possible of all abilities to represent Belpark in these competitions in 2015. We are setting up a “Club Competition Squad” to help everyone prepare, push each other in training, and introduce training talks/days/sessions which will help us develop as triathletes.
Our club captains – Julie Anne Bowden (Ladies Captain) and Brendan Murphy (Mens Captain) - will also be developing a strategy on races we can target as a team to maximise our chances of victory. In the first instance we would like you to complete the following survey as an expression of interest in “club competition squad”: www.surveymonkey.com/r/MKHQVY3
To help our Club Competition Squad prepare for 2015 Season, we are organising a weekend training camp to be held in Dublin on the weekend of 21-22 February. The camp is intended to bring focus and a sense of unity to the Squad and is aimed at those with a genuine intention of competing on behalf of the club in the 2015 season. Though the plans for the camp have not been fully finalised, it will include a mix of technical skills training (including swim video analysis by top swim coach Brian Sweeny and transition coaching), talks on matters of particular interest to competitive triathletes, some good old fashioned aerobic sessions and, hopefully, lots of laughs. Unfortunately, in order to maximize the quality coaching, numbers for the camp will be limited.
We will be circulating an invitation to take part in the camp in the New Year but, in the meantime, we would welcome any input members might have – this can be provided through the survey.
