Entry for the 2015 Caroline Kearney Olympic Distance Triathlon will open on Friday 27th February at 8pm. This race is part of the National Series 2015. Some info on the race – The race takes place on Saturday 8th August – one day before Ironman Dublin 70.3 – It is an Olympic distance race with a 1500m lake swim in Lough Ennell, one 40km flat cycle loop and 10km flat run on closed country roads – It’s about 100km / 1hr 15 mins from Dublin so competitors can travel up and down on the day – Last year 350 people took part in the race and race entries will sell out quickly– - This race is very suitable for anyone thinking of doing their first Olympic Distance Tri this summer & if combined with three NS sprint races, means that you will get the four required NS races done! Read Helen Holohan's race report from 2014: belparktri.com/2014/08/25/helen-holohans-my-first-olympic-race-report/– Registration will be available via sites.google.com/site/carolinekearneytri/Post up if you intend doing and dont forget to be online on 27th!

Couldn't recommend this race highly enough, bike is straight and flat, as is the run. Very well organised and names on bibs is a great idea, all the marshals cheer you by name giving great encouragement and support. Just ignore the really long undergrowth in the lake as you swim!
