After I did this Year my first ever half Distance Race I knew immediately that I want to do it again ( next time hopefully with a descent Time ) so Dublin is for me the perfect announcement , I know it is practically a Year out but with my basic Fitness and my goal i need to start planning now . Would be interesting to know which fellow Belparkers are planning to do Dublin 70.3 as well

I am definitely tempted. It will probably depend on how it might fit in with the Triathlon Ireland 2015 race calender as don't think I would make it my top priority. I think there would be a great buzz running around closed roads of Dublin City Centre especially if lots of Belparkers competing!!

I hope to get a spot. I'd say it will sell out very quickly. I'm also doing tri an mhi middle distance too, good tough race.

Definitely up for it if I can get a spot but if today's Dublin City Tri is anything to go by then the Half one is going to be a world on pain!!!! BRING IT ON!

I'm hoping to do this as well but similar to Ellen will have to see how it fits in with race season

I'd be aiming to do it as well Britta. It seems a little optimistic from here on the sofa in front of the fire, particularly when I haven't been running in a year but sure, need to have something to scare me into training.

Ok so john wallnutt (RD for DCT) seems to have confirmed he's RD for the ironman Dublin race. I'd expect that an announcement on race entries is probably going to be made fairly soon so.

OK that's a confidence booster, John certainly knows how to pull this together.

Latest rumour I've heard is entries most likely open on 17th nov (or was that week of 17th???) anyways there'll be some scramble.
