Bernard Hanratty has contacted us with the following request:
"I am on the search for some senior volunteers to run sections of the bike course for August 9th. The course will be broken into 9 sections (each about 10K), and there will be one section leader for each. It is important that the section leaders are familiar with the sport, and ideally they are familiar with West Dublin (Kilcock, Maynooth, etc). The commitment will involve one 2-hour reccie with me over the relevant section, 2 hours for a briefing in the Phoenix Park on Sat, August 8th and the morning of August 9th. The volunteer will get an
Ironman Team leader polo shirt, ironman draw string bag, lunch pack as well as hot food after the race. There is possibility of a free back pack for the bike team leaders as well"

P. S Obviously our first & main priority is to get volunteer marshals for our own duathlon on 1 July. Email race committee at belparkevents@gmail.com to help out on Wed! No free t-shirt but plenty of club pride in helping run a great race.
