Two days earlier than I expected- Super-series and NS National Series calenders published. Details here for NS www.triathlonireland.com/index.php?id=107&nid=2494Triathy is a notable exclusion, as is Triathlone! Two Provinces is back in! and is National Sprint champs. New Standard distance in Wicklow town. Thankfully more standard distances to choose from also. New Middle distance in Galway- wonder if thats a target market for the Challenge Galway people. Lots of planning to be done!

ok what happened to hook or by Crook, can't believe that they did not get National Series Status , hope that is a mistake and the Tri an Mhi Middle distance didn't get their National Race either and that Athy is not mentioned whatsoever is strange. One day I will hopefully understand how and when a Race is getting awarded Natonal Series ;o))

Interesting alright to see Athy/Hook or by Crook and Athlone not there. Time now to make a plan & club plan to see if we can win the series.

Some interesting absentees alright, kind of glad Athy isn't NS this year after last years debacle. Saves me having to make that decision.
Let's hope they can also sort the club relay's out too, if they get it right that would be a great experience.

What's the issue with tri an mhi middle distance?? I had a great time there this year and would definitely go back. Or is the issue that they didn't get NS status?

Disappointed no Dunmore as ns. And there is actually a superseries race in Derry on the same weekend as Dunmore traditionally is on so.... Superseries details still a bit vague 'most likely all draft legal' and more sprints than Olympic distance but doesn't actually say which races are sprints and which are draft legal. It also seems that they will be giving 50 extra women cat 1 status...wonder if any Belparkers promoted. Really hope they secure a venue and good date for club relays

Its a massive shame Dunmore didn't get NS dont TI care about our club BBQ. Nice to have Two Provinces back as its a very good race. Also having HOTW on same weekend as Challenge Galway when they are doing all the distances is a real kick in the teeth for them.
All in all looks good. Would have been nice to have another middle in the middle of the season aswell.

Ah can't believe Dunmore East not on list. It will be hard to find a replacement! It looks like they are very much reverting back to club run races - TI must have learned a few lessons!

Looking forward to getting involved in the National Series next year. Do we just keep an eye on the TI website for went race entries open, or is there a way we can find out when they open?

Hi Tim.
Generally things like Facebook, Twitter and race websites are the best source of information regaring dates for race entries opening. Keep an eye on the forum as well as people tend to post up when they hear of an opening date. I think in previous years a Belpark Natiaonal Series shared document is created which has information such as specific dates for race entries and other information so I dont see why we wouldnt be doing likewise this year.

Hi Tim, just to follow on from Mark's post-A key focus of Belpark's goals in 2016 will be encouraging all members to complete the required races for NS to score points for the club championships (top 6 men and top 6 women score). This will be driven by Arron Fox (women's captain) and Ronan Kane (men's captain). We plan as a committee on identifying target club races. Regards Helen
