Dear members, thank you for your co-operation and patience as we transition to our new automated UCD swim booking system. As members were taking well-earned breaks between Sept and Nov, there was less demand for the UCD swim sessions. Those who were block-booked were not consistently cancelling their slots to free up slots for PAYG members. However, this demand has been increasing over the last few weeks and some members have reported not being able to get PAYG slots, yet the lane was not full at the session. Therefore, I would ask all members to please cancel your slot in the member's zone at www.belparktri.ie if you cannot make it, to allow someone else avail of the slot. This also applies to those who book a PAYG slot but then have to cancel it.
All PAYG slots will be made available online 3 days before the date of the swim session.
Yours in Sport Helen French (Chair, Belpark TC)

Hi all - I know the booking system is new, but please cancel future slots if you can't attend. You can do this for all weeks out to March if you already know you'll be away (holidays/work, etc). This morning only 4 from 10 showed up at 6am. You can see who's registered at the report in the Members Zone: www.belparktri.ie/booking-report/Thanks, David

Dave; I got called in to work around midnight today and was there until this morning, so apologies that I missed both the cancellation deadline on the website, and the swim session; see you soon, mike

Hi Andy, you should see a list of everything you've booked - both block bookings as well as the 13 individual sessions that are included in that block. Yes, if you cancel the block (highlighted in bold) it will cancel all sessions included in that block. However, you can (and should) cancel individual sessions that you can't attend. Cancelling an individual session only cancels that one event.

Hi everyone, I have disabled the 'cancel' link for block bookings just to take risk out of the equation. The only thing you can delete/cancel now are single sessions. I'm sure nobody wants to cancel a block now anyway, but, in the off chance that you do, please let me know and i can cancel it for you. /Joe

Hi, can I just double check about cancelling and claiming credit.... Can I used credit from a claimed session at another session in the block or do I need to pay at the pool for extra sessions and get a refund of the cancelled slots at the end of the block? Thanks

Hi Sarah, yes you will get credit if you have a block booking and cancel a single session. You can simply book another single session within the same block period (e.g. the 3 month period the current block covers). No exchange of funds is necessary in this case, i.e. you don't need to pay and you won't get a refund since they cancel each other out.
It should be noted that if you do not cancel a session but simply don't attend it, you will not be entitled to a refund or credit, and if you decided to take another session at a different time, you would be required to pay for that.
Hope that helps clarify things, but if please let me know if you (or anyone else) has any other questions.
Thanks, Joe

Great work on the new website and automation of the booking slots. Fantastic. One quick question - I just booked a slot for Friday morning, but I didn't get billed for it. Do we continue to pay EUR7 in cold hard cash at the pool?

Hi there. Quick question. I was unable to attend 630 session this morning. There was a death in the family so I had to attend funeral over last few days. Being honest I completely forgot to cancel and only realized tonight. I was wondering if I could make it back. If there's are rules stating that if you don't cancel you can't make it back then I completely understand. I would like to know as if permissible I would make it back. Thanks a lot Tomas

Unfortunately, Tomas, if the slot is not cancelled in advance the slot is lost.

Hi
Just wondering if the current system is to pay for a PAYG slot and it gets refunded at the end of the block if you have credits? I see different versions of what happens on different threads.
Currently trying to book tomorrow morning and it is asking for payment - I have a credit from this Monday
